Entries for May 2016

Let’s fill the bus again! In a food drive run by the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and American Heritage Girls, we are trying to fill the Boy Scout bus with food items that will be taken to Little Flower to be shared with other St. Vincent de Paul food pantries. Kroger bags were handed out, but you can use any bag or box you have. Nonperishable food items such as canned corn, green beans, carrots, spaghetti sauce/noodles, etc. can be used to fill these bags. Also, the food pantry is in need of paper towels, toilet paper, tissues etc. These items will be collected in the lower lot before all Masses on the weekend of May 14th & 15th.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Gena or Aaron Porotsky at email: or by phone: 741-7504

Grief Support Group

Have you lost a loved one?

There is a grief support group starting on May 26th at St. James.  Please join us from 7-8:30 pm once a week for 8 weeks to share memories of our loved ones and explore the stages of grief. Feel free to participate if you would like or just come as often as needed and listen. The purpose is to bring the grieving process into focus, as well as to provide support for each other during this journey of sorrow and pain of loss.  If you have any questions, please call Vicki Jung at 260-2373 or Julie Schneider at 741-1194.

St. Vincent de Paul Society - Bundle Sunday Weekend

Bundle Sunday Weekend is Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12.

We will be collecting your donations of gently used clothing and household items at all Masses that weekend.  A truck will be parked in the west parking lot. Remember, items you no longer use are a blessing for a neighbor in need.  For free pickup of large donations and vehicles, call 421-CARE.
