                    March 2nd and March 17th
                                             6:00 - 7:00 pm

Fasting:  Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence Catholics.  In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence.   For the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59.

When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal.

Abstinence:  The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic Church from age 14 onwards.

Suggested Lenten penances for every day: increased prayer with participation in daily Mass either in person or live streamed; increased fasting by abstaining from alcohol or candy for Lent; increased almsgiving by more intentional giving (knowing more about the work done by the charities to which one has contributed).
