Come to My Mercy, 3:00 PM—Hour of Great Mercy
Join St. James for a Prayerful Hour Today

The Lord recommended that the hour of his death be honored “for at that moment mercy was opened wide   for every soul”. Jesus determined the appropriate prayers for this 3:00 p.m. devotion: “The Stations of the   Cross” or if that is not possible then “immerse yourself in prayer there where you happen to be, if only for   a very brief instant”. Jesus promised, “In this hour you can obtain everything for yourself and for others     for the asking; it was the hour of grace for the whole world—mercy triumphed over justice” (Diary, 1572).

Join us at St. James Church today, April 11 at 3:00 pm for a prayerful hour celebrating this Feast. Attend Holy Mass today in a state of grace having sincerely repented of all sins and worthily receive Holy Communion with great trust in His Mercy and obtain “complete forgiveness of sins and punishment” (Diary, 300, 699).  Holy Father St. Pope John Paul II granted a plenary and a partial indulgence to the devout observance of Divine Mercy Sunday. It can be offered for the sake of souls suffering in purgatory even while at one and the same time, you are receiving for yourself the “extraordinary grace” from receiving Holy Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday.  What a tremendous opportunity it is to receive a special outpouring of God’s mercy, both upon oneself and for others, all on the same day! (See pamphlets at the church doors.)
