St. James Fish Fry 2022

This year brings some more changes for our Fish Fry. We are resuming our dine-in option for this year! But we are continuing to provide delicious carry-out meals to you and your families with the same 3 different methods as last year.

You may come in and eat in the church hall. Beer, Servatii’s Pretzels with beer cheese, Desserts from our Girl Scouts, and the Craft Room from 5-7 brought to you by the American Heritage Girls will all be back! Masks are not required but encouraged. The layout of the hall has flipped around so that the area by the stage can be used for the online orders only. Please see volunteers and signs in the hall for directions.

There will be 3 options to order CARRY OUT:

1. Come in as usual and place a carry-out order to take with you. (follow signs to the same carry out area as in past)

2. PHONE - Call the church hall at 741-5311 between the hours of 2:00 p.m.- 7:15 p.m. to place order, give a time to pick up between 4:30-7:30 and come in to the hall. Pay at pick-up. We accept cash, checks or credit cards. This is a single phone line, so please be patient.

3. Download the app "MyMenuHelper" to your smart phone. Select our St. James Fish Fry. Place order, select pick-up time and pay through the app. Please give complete info including LAST name. We have curbside, contact-less pick-up in our church lot. Please look for volunteers and sign for the drive through for ONLINE ORDERS ONLY.

Special Note About the Parking Lot: Please be careful and alert. Look for our volunteers and signs and watch for pedestrians! There will be only one Entrance and one Exit open to help with the flow through the lot. Thank you in advance!

We are serving delicious Fried Fish, Baked Fish or Fried Shrimp Dinners each with 2 sides; your choice of coleslaw, green beans or applesauce and choice of french fries or mac and cheese. Fish Dinners come with North College Hill Bakery Bread in your choice of White, Rye, or Salted Rye. We also have Fried Fish Baskets, large and small, with Fries and Coleslaw. Also, LaRosa's will be onsite with the Pizza Truck for hot, delicious LaRosa's Pizzas to add to your order! We will resume our regular beverage services including White Oak Coffee House Coffee, Beer and seltzers, pop, bottled water and Little Hugs. There will also be desserts and pretzels again in the dining room!

The John Merritt Scholarships

Each year our parish gives two (2) $2,000 scholarships to graduating students from St. James to be applied to that student's tuition at a Catholic High School. This grant is renewable for each year of high school as long as the student meets the necessary requirements.

In addition to these, each year two (2) $750 scholarships are given to students currently attending or intending to attend St. James the Greater School the following year.  This is a one-time grant which is NOT  automatically renewable. Students could be eligible for more than one year.

See forms below to download the information and applications.
The deadline to apply is March 1, 2022.

We thank those who have contributed to the John Merritt Scholarship Fund that makes this possible!

2022 Catholic Ministries Appeal(CMA)

The CMA is our opportunity each year to support the work of six vital ministries all of which operate right here in our Archdiocese.  You will receive information in the mail along with donation forms.

If we exceed our parish goal for the CMA, 50% of our overage comes back to the parish to be used toward a parish ministry or improvement that we select. Last year's funds were used to put automatic locks on church and parish center doors.

Please prayerfully consider supporting this year's CMA.  Your help is needed as we stand Together for the Faith of the Gospel for thousands of people served throughout our Archdiocese.
